Revolver has good gray patina with just traces of original blueing in protected areas mainly on bottom of barrel. Action is very good on this US Cavalry Revolver.  According to Kopec' s book this revolver could have gone to the US 8th Cavalry or NY Militia. A great example of the Indian Wars, US,  Colt Single Action Army revolver which came out of Colt's factory in 1874. Still doing research on this revolver.
